Search Engine Optimisation Services for your site and company

What is Search Engine Optimisation? At its most basic level, Search Engine Optimisation (or SEO) is getting a site "to the top" of search engine result pages (i.e. the first site shown when you search for something). This therefore gets you a lot of targeted visitors to your site.

For example, if you were a Canterbury based plumbing company, one of the keywords / phrases we would target would be "Canterbury plumber" and get your site at the very top of the search results for all major search engines (Google, Yahoo, MSN Live and Ask).

Think about the last time you searched for something in Google (or Yahoo, MSN etc). You almost certainly clicked the first site listed there. The difference in amount of traffic (visitors) you receive between being position one and position four is massive. The difference between being on page one (of 10 results per page) and page two is even bigger.

Note: SEO refers to "organic", normal listings – ones you don’t pay the search engines for. For the "Sponsored" listings you see on search engines, please refer to our pay per click management services

Safe, tried and tested White hat SEO methods only!

We never use "black hat" methods. We would never use any method that may result in your site getting banned or a penalty. Major search engines, like Google, outline on their sites what is acceptable methods.

Guarantees

We don’t guarantee results. Let’s get this one clear. We don’t guarantee results. We could. But we don’t. If we guaranteed results you would compare our prices to other companies and see us as very expensive. We’re not. We just do a good job!

Let us explain: We have found most companies that guarantee results will often guarantee really obscure keyword phrases (such as "cheap and recommended plumbing companies in Canterbury area"), rather than phrases people search for (e.g. "Canterbury plumbing companies"). If you do any reading up on search engine optimisation you will soon see that many other big SEO companies (and SEO blogs) refuse to give guarantees.

However we can do work based on "we charge you £X when we get to position Y for search term/phrase 'Z'" – so our lack of guarantee isn’t all bad.

Our SEO methods work and are up to date

We are honest and know what we do. We have spoken to other search engine optimisers and it is clear that there are many out there selling similar services.

But sometimes companies use out of date methods, and those services just don’t work at all anymore.

For example, we’ve seen companies offer their services as "£300 for updating meta keywords and descriptions".

They may make out that this will have a huge effect. Meta keywords however have pretty much no effect on search engine result pages. Meta descriptions are only really used in result pages when a better "snippet" from the page can’t be found. £300 for that service is a complete waste. Four or five years ago these methods may have had some effect. 10 years ago they defiantly did. But search engines change their algorithms all the time.

We also didn't learn our methods by buying a "Learn SEO yourself" book from Amazon (which would probably be out of date even by the time it is first published). We learnt by reading top industry blogs and newsletters, and (mainly) by constant testing and evaluating of methods and techniques.

And that is why at Internet Splash we are always keeping up to date with the latest news, testing new methods, and discussing methods with other search engine optimisers throughout the world.

All new sites built by us are optimised!

When we build a site (from scratch), we fully optimise all pages. All on-site (also called on-page) SEO is, of course, included when we develop sites. But if you already have a site and need to get visitors to that site via search engines, we can optimise your site. We don’t need to change the layout (we can optimise it fully yet keep it looking the same!).

We don't Compromise accessibility for your users

We always optimise for users as first priority. If a site is optimised for users first, it is very easy to optimise it for search engines too. Ensuring that all content is readable and usable by everyone (including even those who use a screen reader!) ensures it is readable and useable for search engines too.

So you don’t have to worry that we will "over optimise" (which is impossible to do if you know what you are doing, anyway). We never do any of that "keyword stuffing" where you will see big lists of white text on white background saying things like (going with our plumber theme, again) "Canterbury plumber, Sturry Plumber, Ashford plumber, Margate plumber, and so on..." (which is an old, (semi-)useless black hat technique).

SEO isn't a secret. And we don't make it out to be one

Some companies seem to pretend that SEO is some mystical art that shouldn't be shared. We don't. We tell you exactly what we will do. Our blog is full of some SEO methods too.
